Cool stuff

the Ipod Nano looks amazing, so thin and sexy....i love it.....and i wanna get one...

the only drawback is only 1000 songs, normally its not a problem to pick 1000 songs u wanna hear, but i just know i will be lisening to it and then wanna hear this track which wont be there....so maybe i should wait for the nano which can hold about 2000+ songs :)

Work was hell today, the temperature was 93-95 degrees, and then you stand out there and it feels like 103-105.....absolute hell.....but the money is needed so you wont hear me complain twice

New Orleans still looks awful, and i cant imagine what it must be like to lose everything like so many people have, your whole life has been washed away

im also going to Chicago to visit tristan on the 15 of december....luna will prolly also go....im excited...cant wait to see the city, and tristan in his enviroment, so i can tell him it sucks ;)

seatbelts cause more accidents

Risk Compensation vs. Selective Recruitment.

The record of mandatory seat belt use in countries is of complete failure to show anything like the previously predicted savings of lives. The risk compensation hypothesis argues that this is because drivers adjust their behavior in response to a perceived change in their own personal endangerment. Thus an increased sense of security can lead to a decreased sense of caution such that any safety benefit is consumed as an increase in speed or some other performance. To quote directly from one author on risk taking behavior "… creating the illusion of controlling traffic accident consequences with technical features such as seat-belts, ABS, four-wheel drive, helmets, etc. will seduce people to show more risky, thoughtless or even careless behavior."
The case in Ireland
The effect that was seen in traffic fatalities was of a steady increase in deaths throughout 1982 and continuing into 1983. It is reported that by the first quarter of 1983 traffic deaths had shown an increase of 46.7% compared with the same quarter the previous year, before the introduction of the fines (Adams 1985). As one researcher has put it; "... to compel a person to use protection from the consequences of hazardous driving, as seat belt laws do, is to encourage hazardous driving. A fine for non-compliance will encourage seat belt use, but the fact that the law fails to increase people's desire to be safe encourages compensatory behavior."

so basically.....if u buckle up you are more likely to kill timmy while he crosses the road, or hit that asshole infront of you for speeding up and slowing down.....just cause no harm will happen to you, whereas the potential for thier harm is infinite...

As everyone can tell i got a program to upload pics to the blog, and its cool....i like it, so now imma randomly post pics from the summer when i stumble upon one i like

i also put up a site with just the pics from italy

oh yeah, the New Orleans thing is preety damn bad, and Bush and the govt really fucked up on this one, i mean refusing aid from Chavez, not even getting on the ggorund till day 5, they fucking blew it.....Kanye was right about Bush....It's craty at whats happening there with the prisons being emptied and criminals (though not exclusivly nor inclusivly) shooting at random people, and the national guard having orders to fire at will......i just know they will kill innocent people and put it down to a jittery finger. As for the looting, whats to expect, people are starving, and dying, as for those taking TV's and shit.....why do you care, chances are they are gonna work, and who the fuck is gonna carry a TV thorugh 15ft of water, and all without getting busted.

Sad sad shit...

oh yeah, just so we dont think we the only ones

China got hit with a typhoon
and it looks preety nasty with already over 70 people dead, and that should rise, and naturally any number the chinese goverment gives out should be tripled, since those assholes always lie when it comes to people dying or in jails...

So we all know Sandra Day O'Connor is getting replcaed with the conservative...well a few moments ago, the old top dog kicked it....

thats 2 nominations for bush......thats 2 conservatives in for 1 swing (liberal leaning) and one chief justice...

sad thing is that now clarence thomas is odds on to become chief justice, and the public and senate will buy it cause how great is it to have a black man be top dog (the guilty of slavery will never leave the american white male, with good reason, but too many times is there a minority who gets a job on the back of his ethnicity because everyone knows no one will object...cept maybe trent lott (hahahhahah) )

so that sucks

in other news...Bush is still on vacation....and i have decided that to be able to take about a month off each year i should really look into his job, i mean, id love to take 1 month off, but i aint a country bumpkin goin to some ranch in texas, my ass would be in airforce one touring the world...
